Foundations of Corporate Finance

This course teaches the standard tools and techniques of corporate finance, with an emphasis on valuing firms and projects. It is designed for undergraduates who have already taken an introductory finance class, and familiarity with spreadsheets is required. The course will begin with financial statement analysis, then introduce fundamental valuation concepts, and conclude by covering topics such as agency theory and leverage choice. The course will feature group homework assignments and a final exam. This course has a pre-requisite of Econ BUSGEN 111, BUSGEN 135,BUSGEN 141, or equivalent course work. This course qualifies for the major in Economics.
