When you order coffee on an app, hail a ride, or schedule a doctor's visit, you're using a service that has to work for everyone involved - the customer, the employee, and the organization. This class focuses on the specialized processes required to coordinate complex service experiences across digital, physical, and human touch points. Building on the introduction to design in CS 147, we will delve into more advanced methods and tools for research, prototyping, and multi-stakeholder user interface design. Student teams partner with real campus clients - past partners include Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, Cantor Arts Museum, and Stanford Finance - to solve real design problems and present to University leadership. Format & Attendance: This class is CS 100% studio-based, centered on hands-on team projects and direct coaching. Because learning happens in class, you must attend every class session. In the event of a waitlist, acceptance to class based on an application accessible here not on order in the waitlist: tinyurl.com/cs247service
