Boost Youth College Readiness through Effective Mathematics Tutoring

Students will participate in one-on-one tutoring in mathematics with an elementary or middle school student who is enrolled in the East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring program (EPATT). They will attend class one evening a week, during which they will learn about the teaching of mathematics and effective tutoring strategies. They will also engage in ongoing reflection about the effectiveness of their tutoring and its impact on their tutee's college and career readiness. This is a Cardinal Course certified by the Haas Center for Public Service.
