Independent studies, under the direction of a faculty advisor, for which academic credit may properly be allowed for additional contributions towards a student's research project. Satisfactory project progress, as determined by the student's faculty advisor, is required for final letter grade. For Latin American Studies M.A. students only. Students, during their program, may enroll in a maximum of 3 units if working on a capstone, and a maximum of 6 units if working on a thesis.
