Intermediate Voice Class

UNITS:1
GRADING:Letter or Credit/No Credit
LEVEL:Undergrad
GER:WAY-CE

This is a closed-enrollment masterclass that helps students develop and refine their performance skills, culminating in an end-of-quarter recital. Admission requires a successful audition. Students must join the waitlist, attend the first class, and submit a performance-ready video audition to liupaogo@stanford.edu. The audition piece may be from any musical genre but must include accompaniment (piano, karaoke, or another track); a cappella submissions will not be accepted. Applicants should include their name, grade, and section in their email and complete the required questionnaire before the first class. The audition has two parts: a video submission and an in-person audition during the first week. Enrollment decisions are based on audition performance rather than waitlist order, but students must be on the waitlist to be considered. Accepted students will receive permission numbers by the end of the first week. Each section is limited to four students, and the course may be repeated up to three times for credit. Prerequisite: MUSIC MUSIC 65B or 65BZ, or equivalent vocal training.
