This course is designed to be an immersive learning experience where students interact with some of the most eminent practitioners in these fields. The course will build a conceptual understanding of the core financing frameworks and tools that the financial market have used, will use, and could use to scale up these sustainability solutions quickly and economically. The course will also familiarize the students with some of the basic analytical models investors use to evaluate the economics of scale up at different points in the scaling process. This is not a technical finance course, but rather a course that anyone interested in scaling sustainability solutions quickly and economically will want to take to understand the way financing has supported great breakthroughs and what financing could do to unlock the next chapter of scale at speed.
