How many Italies are in the world, and how many worlds are in Italy? This course aims at looking at how Italy has been depicted along the centuries from a wide array of perspectives. We will engage with epic poems and contemporary novels, travelogues and films, touristic narratives and philosophical theories trying to chart the ways Italy and the world interacts. Taught in Italian.
