Emphasis is on the specific examination of muscles, bones, and joints and important systemic signs and symptoms pertinent to the diagnosis of rheumatic diseases. Laboratory tests, X-rays, and biopsies are reviewed. Students see both new and returning patients and participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations.
