In this course, students will engage in guided writing of their Oceans Department Ph.D. qualifying exam proposal. Writing outside of class will form the basis for short presentations and interactive discussions, as well as faculty and peer review. By the end of Oceans OCEANS 304, students will have crafted a full first draft of their dissertation proposal.
