View from the Future: Speaker Series with Industry Pioneers Designing the Future

UNITS:1
GRADING:Satisfactory/No Credit
LEVEL:Graduate
GER:—

The future is already here. It's just unevenly distributed - and unevenly imagined. View from the Future is a conversation series that collapses the distance between where design is heading and where you are right now. Each week, a different practitioner. A different field. A different vantage point on what's coming - and what's already here for those paying attention. Every week in this class, you'll sit across from someone who is living at the genuine edge of their field. Their careers rarely followed a straight line. Their job titles often didn't exist before they invented them. And the skills that got them there? Not always the ones you'd expect. View from the Future is a conversation series that collapses the distance between where design is heading and where you are right now. Each week, a different practitioner. A different field. A different vantage point on what's coming - and what's already here for those paying attention. Past guests have come from architecture, AI hardware, sports media, regenerative fashion, civic journalism, healthcare innovation, luxury, and beyond. What they share isn't a field - it's a posture. They anticipate what's coming. They imagine what doesn't yet exist. They design with both in mind. By the end of this course, our students don't just know more about where the world is going. They see themselves differently within it - as active participants in shaping it, not passive recipients of whatever arrives.
