Pediatrics Core Clerkship

VISITING: Closed to visitors. TYPE OF CLERKSHIP: Required. DESCRIPTION: Pediatrics PEDS 300A is an eight-week core clerkship. Students spend four weeks on an inpatient service and four weeks in a variety of ambulatory settings. The clerkship provides an introduction to a wide range of clinical problems and equips students with the basic skills needed to work with children and families. The overarching goal of the clerkship is to enable students to bring the core values and principles of pediatrics to the care of all patients, across disciplines. PREREQUISITES: None. PERIODS AVAILABLE: 1-PEDS 12, full-time for 8 weeks, PEDS 16 students per period. CLERKSHIP DIRECTOR: Elizabeth Stuart, M.D.; Associate Director: Kevin Chi, M.D. CLERKSHIP COORDINATOR: Julia Arndt, jarndt@stanford.edu.
